Classification And Use of Filter Bags

Filter bags come in various types based on their filtering medium.

1.Liquid filtration bag filter purify liquids like water, oil, and chemicals. They cover a wide filtration range (1–300 μm) to meet cleanliness standards.

2.Gas filter bags, also known as dust removal filter bags, purify flue gas and dust-laden gases. They are frequently used in baghouse dust collectors.

You can also classify filter bags by their material:

1.Synthetic Fiber Filter Bags: Made from polyester (PET), polypropylene (PP), and nylon (PA), these bags resist acids and alkalis. They are cost-effective and suitable for general use. Among them, PP has excellent chemical resistance.

2.High-Temperature Filter Bags: These bags are made from PPS, PTFE, or glass fiber. They can handle temperatures over 180 °C. They resist corrosion and effectively remove dust from high-temperature flue gases. This makes them ideal for coal-fired boilers and waste incineration, meeting GB/T 18415 standards.

3.Precision Filter Bags: Made from polyester/nylon microfiber, these offer high filtration precision (1–5 μm). They are ideal for precise liquid filtration.

The main applications of filter bags include:

Industrial liquid purification

Chemical industry: filtration of medicinal liquids, solvents, and acidic or alkaline solutions.

Electroplating: removal of impurities from plating solutions to extend bath life.

Food and beverage: pre-filtration of syrups, fruit juices, and beer.
