Medium efficiency bag air filter, commonly known as bag filter, is the core intermediate filtration equipment in central air conditioning and centralized ventilation systems. It adopts seamless synthetic fiber filter media to make multiple V-shaped bag structures. By increasing the filtration area and using special bag cage support, it achieves high dust collection efficiency while ensuring low air resistance. Its main function is to capture particles in the range of 1-5 microns, effectively protecting the downstream high-efficiency filters and system end equipment. It is an indispensable link in clean rooms and high-quality air treatment systems.

As a key component in air purification systems, medium efficiency bag air filters play a vital role in connecting primary filtration and high-efficiency filtration, which is widely used in commercial, industrial and clean room scenarios. Choosing a suitable medium efficiency bag filter can not only improve indoor air quality (IAQ) but also reduce the operation and maintenance costs of the entire air conditioning system.

I. Main Uses

1. Intermediate Filtration for Central Air Conditioning Systems: Used in air handling units (AHU) or fan coil units (FCU), it serves as the core filtration section between the pre-filter and the high-efficiency filter. It effectively removes medium-sized particles, reducing the load of high-efficiency filters and ensuring the stable operation of the air conditioning system.

2. Pre-filtration for Clean Rooms: In clean rooms of electronics, pharmaceutical, food, bioengineering and other industries, it acts as the front-end protection for high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) or ultra-low penetration air (ULPA) filters. This significantly extends the service life of HEPA/ULPA filters and reduces long-term operation costs.

3. Commercial and Industrial Ventilation: Applied in the ventilation systems of public places such as offices, shopping malls, hospitals, schools and hotels, it effectively removes dust, pollen and other pollutants, improving indoor air quality (IAQ) and creating a healthy and comfortable environment for people.

4. Process Air Treatment: In industrial processes such as spraying, plastics and packaging, it filters the process air to prevent dust and particles from damaging production equipment and affecting product quality, ensuring the stability of the production process.

II. Application Environment

Temperature Range: Generally suitable for continuous working environments from -20℃ to +80℃ (specifically depending on the filter media and frame material). For special high-temperature or low-temperature scenarios, customized filter media and frames can be selected to meet the use requirements.

Humidity Range: The maximum working humidity can reach 80% RH (non-condensing state). For high-humidity environments (such as food processing workshops and pharmaceutical clean rooms), moisture-proof filter media and anti-corrosion frames (such as stainless steel) are required to prevent filter damage and performance degradation.

Installation Location: It should be installed in an air conditioning unit or filter box with sufficient maintenance space to facilitate regular inspection, cleaning and replacement. Reasonable installation space can also ensure uniform air flow and avoid local air resistance increase.

Pre-installation Requirement: It is recommended to install a G4 grade primary filter in front of the bag filter to block large particles and debris. This can effectively reduce the dust load of the medium efficiency bag filter, extend its service life and improve the overall filtration effect of the system.

Medium efficiency bag air filtersare available in various efficiency grades (F5-F9 according to EN 779 standard) and sizes to meet the diverse needs of different scenarios. With the advantages of large filtration area, low initial resistance, high dust holding capacity and easy maintenance, they have become the preferred intermediate filtration equipment in various air purification systems.
