The testing standards for pleated filter elements cover multiple aspects. Different types of pleated filter elements have corresponding testing standards. The following are some common testing standards for pleated filter elements:
GB/T 36118-2018: 'Polytetrafluoroethylene Microfiltration Membrane Folded Filter Cartridge for Gas Sterilization', this standard specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of polytetrafluoroethylene microfiltration membrane folded filter elementsfor gas sterilization. It is applicable to filter elements made of polytetrafluoroethylene microfiltration membrane as the filter material, and processed by folding and other techniques for gas sterilization.
HY/T 055-2001: 'Folded Cartridge Microporous Membrane Filter Cartridges', this standard specifies the product marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of folded cartridge microporous membrane filter cartridges. It is applicable to membrane filter cartridges made from microporous filter membranes through folding and other processes for the purification and separation of liquids.
ISO 2942: Test Method for Filter Element Integrity, which verifies the integrity of the filter element structure through methods such as the bubble point method, to ensure that there are no leakage or other issues with the filter element.
ASTM F838: Specification for Bacterial Retention Test, used to test the bacterial retention capacity of pleated filter cartridges and evaluate their bactericidal performance.
ISO 16889: Particle Counting Method, used to verify the filtration efficiency of pleated filter cartridges for particles of the target size, requires a filtration efficiency of ≥99.9% for particles of the target size (β value ≥1000).
