Pleated filter cartridges play an indispensable and important role in the chemical industry. For instance, various types of pleated filter cartridges are used in the printing ink, electronics, and chemical industries.
Printing Ink Industry
Polypropylene pleated filter cartridgesmay be adopted, such as the 10-inch printing ink pleated filter cartridges. Made of polypropylene, these cartridges are resistant to acids, alkalis and water, as well as anti-static. With a filtration accuracy ranging from 0.1μm to 1μm, they can effectively filter out tiny particles and impurities in printing ink, ensuring ink quality and printing effects.
Electronics Industry
1. PP Pleated Filter Cartridges: Made of polypropylene, these cartridges are used for filtering high-purity water in the production of microelectronic products.
2. Hydrophobic PTFE Pleated Filter Cartridges: The filter medium is hydrophobic polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) microporous membrane. Featuring strong hydrophobicity, high rejection rate, excellent chemical and thermal stability, and good mechanical strength, these cartridges can withstand forward and reverse pressure shocks. They are suitable for filtering gases such as compressed air and nitrogen, as well as organic solvents like alcohols and chemical reagents.
3. Hydrophilic PTFE Pleated Filter Cartridges: The filter medium is hydrophilic PTFE microporous membrane. Characterized by stable hydrophilicity, high rejection rate, good chemical and thermal stability, high mechanical strength, and resistance to forward and reverse pressure shocks, they are applied in the filtration of sterile bulk drugs and liquid medicines in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as organic solvents and alcohols in the chemical industry.
4. Polyethersulfone (PES) Pleated Filter Cartridges: The filter medium is PES microporous membrane. These cartridges boast unique hydrophilicity, high filtration accuracy and flux, a wide pH application range, low adsorption of proteins and valuable biological agents, high rejection rate, excellent chemical and thermal stability, high mechanical strength, and resistance to forward and reverse pressure shocks. They are ideal for filtering injection solutions and high-purity water.
5. Nylon Pleated Filter Cartridges: The filter medium is hydrophilic nylon microporous membrane. With stable hydrophilicity, strong flexibility, high rejection rate and excellent chemical resistance, these cartridges are particularly suitable for filtering organic solvents. They can withstand forward and reverse pressure shocks and are used in the filtration of industrial water in the electronics, microelectronics and semiconductor industries, as well as the filtration of sterile bulk drugs and liquid medicines in the pharmaceutical industry.
Chemical Industry
1. Stainless Steel Pleated Filter Cartridges: Made of stainless steel, these cartridges have stable high and low temperature resistance. They are suitable for filtering large-flow steam and various high and low temperature gas-liquid media, and can be repeatedly cleaned, backwashed and backblown. Applicable to duplex filters in chemical plants, they can achieve a filtration accuracy of 2–200μm, remove moisture from heavy oil before it enters the combustion system, and are also suitable for filtering chemical liquids.
2. Polypropylene Pleated Filter Cartridges: Made of polypropylene, these cartridges offer broad chemical compatibility, low pressure drop, strong dirt-holding capacity and long service life. They can meet the clarification and filtration requirements of some acid-alkali liquids and solvents.
However, in practical applications, the specific type of pleated filter cartridge to be selected should be determined according to the specific requirements of the industry, the properties of the filtered medium, operating conditions (such as temperature, pressure, pH value, etc.) and filtration accuracy requirements.
