As a high-efficiency and precision filtration element, the structural design of the melt blown filter cartridge directly determines its filtration performance, dirt-holding capacity and service life. The core of this filter cartridge is made of polypropylene melt blown fiber, which forms a three-dimensional network structure through a special process. It has a multi-layer and gradient overall structure, and is mainly composed of three parts: the filtration layer, the support layer and the end cap sealing structure.
The filtration layer is the core functional area of the melt blown filter cartridge, which is formed by high-temperature melting, high-speed spinning, and fiber cooling and adhesion of polypropylene melt blown fibers. The fiber diameter ranges from several microns to tens of microns, and a gradient pore size distribution of "loose outside and tight inside" is formed through process control: the outer layer has larger pores, which can intercept large particle impurities and reduce inner layer blockage; the middle layer has gradually refined pores to capture medium-sized pollutants; the inner layer has the smallest pores to achieve high-precision filtration. This gradient structure can significantly improve the dirt-holding capacity and extend the service life of the filter cartridge. Meanwhile, the network structure formed by the random interweaving of fibers has both physical interception and adsorption effects, and can effectively filter suspended solids, colloids, bacteria and other impurities.
The support layer is located inside the filter element, usually made of polypropylene non-woven fabric or perforated tube. Its main function is to enhance the structural strength of the filter cartridge and prevent deformation or damage caused by pressure changes during the filtration process. The support layer must have good air permeability without affecting the filtration flow rate, and be closely attached to the filtration layer to ensure the continuity of the filtration channel.
The end cap sealing structure adopts hot melt welding or bonding technology to fix the filtration layer and the support layer as a whole, and realizes the sealed connection between the filter cartridge and the filtration equipment through a rubber sealing ring, preventing the liquid to be filtered from leaking through the gaps and ensuring the filtration effect. The end cap is mostly made of polypropylene, which has the characteristics of corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, and is suitable for different working conditions.
Overall, the gradient network structure, high-strength support design and reliable sealing structure of the spun filter cartridge give it the advantages of high-efficiency filtration, large dirt-holding capacity and strong stability, making it widely used in water treatment, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
