Introduction To Wedge Wire Screen

Wedge Wire Screen, also known as slit screen mesh. The wedge wire screen filter component is made by pre-rolling high-quality stainless steel wire into wedge-shaped screen bars, which are then wound and welded onto the support bars by automated production equipment and processed through cutting, edge welding and other procedures. The cross-section of the screen bar is wedge-shaped, with the screen gap being narrower at the top and wider at the bottom. Wedge wire filter features easy leakage, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. Wedge screen filter also has high strength, rigidity, and load-bearing capacity, and can be made into various shapes of rigid screening and filtering devices. It is widely applied in screening, filtration, dewatering, desliming and other operations in multiple industries.

The screen bars serve a filtering function. The filtration direction is from the outside to the inside, and the screen bar is on the outside.

On the contrary, the filtration direction is from the inside out, and the screen bar is on the inner side.

1-1, Round wire is rolled into screen bars and support bars.

1-2. The screen bars are wound and welded onto the support bars through the equipment to form a circular screen cylinder. 1-3.

1-3. Cut, slice, and flatten the screen cylinder. Then, it is processed into the required shape and size.

3-1 Materials: mainly 201,304,316. Other materials can be custom-made and processed.

3-2, Screen bar shape: wedge-shaped wire, mainly triangular wire. Common specifications (mm) of screen bars: 1x2, 1.5x2.2, 1.5x2.5, 2.3x3.6, 1.8x4.3, 3.0x4.7.

3-3, screen gap: The gap width is the distance between two screen bars, generally more than 0.05mm.

3-4, shapes of support strips: rectangular, trapezoidal, teardrop-shaped, dot-shaped. The most common shape is also a trapezoidal strip.

Common specifications (mm) of support strips: 2x3, 2.3x2.7, 2.3x3.6, 3.0x4.7, 3.7x5.6.

In addition, the diameter of the circular support strip is 2.5-5mm.
