Wedge Wire Screen (also known as screen plate, punched screen plate, grille screen mesh) is an industrial screening component with regular hole patterns formed on metal plates through stamping, welding or weaving processes. Its core characteristics include sturdy structure, high open area ratio, wear resistance and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for high-strength, large-flow screening scenarios.

– Mining industry: Particle size classification of coal, ore, sand and gravel (e.g., vibrating screens, trommel screens).

2.Solid-liquid separation and filtration
– Environmental protection field: Grille decontaminators in sewage treatment, filter plates of dewatering screens.

Screen bars play a filtering role. If the filtration direction is from outside to inside, the screen bars are on the outer side;conversely, if the filtration direction is from inside to outside, the screen bars are on the inner side.

1.Reinforced structure
– Frame reinforcement: Welded angle steel or bent flanging to improve overall strength and prevent deformation.
– Reinforcing ribs: Additional support bars (e.g., I-beams) on the back of large screen plates to increase load-bearing capacity by more than 50%.
2.Wear resistance optimization
– Manganese steel + rubber composite: Vulcanized rubber layer on the surface of metal substrate for impact resistance and noise reduction (mining-specific).
– Welded wear-resistant layer: Welded tungsten carbide on the edge of screen holes to extend service life by 3-5 times.
3.Anti-clogging design
– Tapered holes: Funnel-shaped holes with small top and large bottom (e.g., oilfield vibrating screens) to reduce particle jamming.
– Bounce ball system: Rubber balls installed at the lower layer to collide and clean screen holes (common in food industry).
